United did buy these jets. They are owned by united and on a 12 year contract. We own 18 Ejets, these were owned before this, and the contract for these has been extended for an additional 5 years. But these 20 aircraft are owned by United, not Mesa. In other words these ARE the 20 firm orders united announced over the summer, the 19 options have yet to be placed with a carrier, or even ordered for that matter. Skywest currently operates 19 700’s hint hint. And if Skywest agrees to give those 700’s to Gojet to be turned into 550’s I would expect the final 19 orders for the 175 to go to Skywest.
