There were about 5-6 additional upgrades awarded to people with < 18 months on property. There are over 100 FO's on the seniority list who could have upgraded ahead of that April 2019 hire if they qualified. That's in addition to all the FO's awarded CA in this bid.

I've heard it mentioned that a lot of FO's have been here a while and were still thinking they were a long way from upgrade and had not updated their standing bids. So maybe some of that 100+ qualify but got caught with a stale system bid?

There are a lot of FO's at XJT who have no interest in upgrading. They either have side businesses or family situations that make their XJT income secondary. They love the flying, but want to keep their great schedules, can't or don't want to relocate or commute and some just don't want the added stress/responsibility of being CA. Heard it 1st hand from a few and they say there are many like them.

I counted 45 upgrades. Doesn't seem excessive considering over 400 started new hire training in 2019.
