Those trips that you mention, with a DH in the beginning and end, would be great if you happen to live in base and if your seniority can hold them. If not, oh boy would they suck for a commuter.
No, you’d actually take the DH and hotel at the outstation as day one. The most commutable first day ever....
Look at your lines now and all the lost days and wasted overnights. Scheduling efficiency - and with changes - smartly would help everybody.
It would only take a few months to get the ratio right. If they start having too many taking the DH and hotel, then reduce the lines to that mini-base.
The rest comes with a fee. By now they should see that everything we’ve told them the past 8 years has happened exactly as told. Perhaps they should start listening.
