Same on the CRJ. It was the water separator IIRC.
There are several sources of contaminated air. Fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluid. Why there isn't a sniffer detector with an auto pack trip by now I do not know. Part of the problem is getting the industry (and Airbus/Boeing) to admit there is a problem, as that would bring very large class action suits...anyone and their brother would sign up even if no event had been reported...so it's kinda a tightrope walk.
