Very good advice. And I would add that "in Africa" covers an awful lot of ground. If you were more specific about the country, you might get more useful feedback. Also, and maybe most important, HAVE AN EXIT STRATEGY, so that no matter what happens,(company cuts you loose, refuses to pay you, etc.) you can get out and back home.

I've flown with numerous crewmembers over the years who had Africa flying on their resume, and most spoke of it as an adventure and without regret. Good luck!!
