Does Amazon Air have to shut down following this no confidence vote? I didn't think Amazon even had unionized staff.
I would have expected the vote not to be for Amazon Air (see thread title) but for one of the carriers under Amazon. And maybe not even the carrier itself, but a pilot group at the carrier?
Don't think the title is that accurate. I know ABX pilots like to consider themselves Amazon Air pilots, and they do fly those planes, but they are really one of a few contractors working for Amazon, and one of the smaller ones.
Now Southern Air - they HAVE to pay those pilots more - along with Atlas. Seriously - how do these airlines retain pilots at those pay rates?
5 year captain at ATI is around $210. AA is $275. UPS is $300. I feel like southern / atlas etc are way below that.
