In 50% of DVT, the first symptom is death. You guys and girls shouldn't be messing around with this. Fat, thin, young, old they are cheap, comfortable protection against losing your life to deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
Getting up and moving around is not sufficient protection against this.
Have a buddy at WN who had a pulmonary embolism this past summer. I’ve been wearing compression socks ever since. Go to Amazon & get a few pairs.
