You cost more than several of the other regionals sure enough, but you get put in more difficult markets because of it. Skywest and “preferred partners” cost less, they get softer markets. There is no need to start worrying.
Skywest is now in some of the east coast markets, but it's always easier to get a flight out on time from PSP, TUS or FAT than the cities in the northeast. The airspace is so much more expansive with less air traffic.
