The max has taken a hit from which it will never fully recover, but that's a percentage of market share which will play out in the long run. In the short run the max should get re-certified fairly soon. I kind of suspected it would be more than a "couple months" once they started looking under various stones but fundamentally there's no hint that it's un-certifiable. Some jurisdictions may well drag it out to show independence or amplify BCA's self-inflicted brand damage with an eye to the long-term future of their own competing brands.
