Darn right it backfired! I have since instituted new pickup criteria: At the current pay rate, will I be ****ed off if I someone else picks up the trip while I dither? If the answer is "yes", I'll take it as is. In this particular example, I waited because I didn't really think anyone would take it before it hit 100%... and was ****ed when it went for less.
