Damned autocorrect capitalizing Jumpseat on me as I type
I was DH one day and the gate agent asked me if I would take the jump seat in order to get a non-rev family member on. I refused and explained that the DH seat is mine. Said gate agent went to the Captain with the same request and the captain came back and told me I was moving to the jump seat. I eventually agreed so as not to cause any friction with the flight crew. As I was moving up to the jump seat the gate agent came back on and told the captain that there was a higher priority non-rev in line and that her family member wouldn't make it anyway and told me to go back to my DH seat.
