That’s all one way to look at it, but *nearly every flight (that’s not to Bumbletruck, Wherever) has enough people to upgrade that it’ll open up economy seats in the case of open first class and full economy. If not, jumpseat will get you on and probably into that seat. That’s just my perspective, and I never list for first because I don’t care enough to pay for it. Never had an issue. YMMV
