The simple answer is that there is nothing on the company's immediate road map that a current or near-future joiner could point to and say "that's where I'll upgrade". A lot of hiring has already been done in the name of future growth, and the f/o list is longer than it's ever been. There is still attrition in the middle of the list to other carriers, but nothing like the demographic cliff that the legacies are facing. What we have is a lot of optimism regarding the future of the 777 program, a lot of "tribal knowledge" that K4 is better positioned to operate in a challenging market than some of our competitors, and a status quo that is more agreeable to most than other ACMI operators.

Anyone with an interest in joining right now needs to be familiar with our current contract's f/o rates for monthly guarantee well beyond year 3, and weigh their options accordingly. Anyone who is betting the farm on a lightning-fast contract or on us emulating the kind of growth that, say, Atlas has had over the past 10 years is doing themselves a disservice, in my opinion.
