Well yes, the thread already has plenty of hype from those of us hired in the first half of 2018 or earlier. I'd be thrilled to offer a new joiner the same deal I currently have, where I bid the top quarter of f/os on the fleet that habitually breaks guarantee every month while waiting for a captain slot to present itself. New joiners will not have the same fortune we currently enjoy. As much as there is to like about our job at all levels of the seniority list, some perspective is definitely in order, and realistic expectations for advancement would be in the best interests of both new hires and the company.
