I flew in Africa for about 3 months, flew doctors to diseased areas, dropped food off at refugee camps, supply runs in general. It was a lot of fun and an eye opening experience as well. One of those things where I am super glad I did it, but not really wanting to go back again. I did it completely volunteer, so I don't know how much to ask for money wise. My advise just me sure you have enough money to cover "landing fees". Almost ended up in a Kenyan jail for not having any bribe money.
I have worked overseas for 20 years on power plants, and agree that you should always have enough “grease” in your wallet to make things go smoother.
