Played the commuting game for a year and a half across two time zones. It was a terrible experience and I’m trying to avoid that move at all costs. So it’s more of a QOL move for me, as I know it’s a good place to be. I’ve got a few friends that have been there for a couple years and they’re really happy, living a life I wish I was living. But their life choices permit them to live in base and that isn’t an option for me any time soon. The lower my standards bit was a joke...and it seemed to work, but I also don’t wanna fly a bus, or 737, for the rest of my career. Some people are just fine with that...however my dreams are different.

To answer what you said, I’m not on reserve and have the seniority to stick around until whenever the “end” comes.
