I wasn’t that far from getting it in the past. Most of my responses were aimed at people who expressed anger at not getting selected who had issues such as not having a degree, treating the process as a formality rather than an interview, bad attitudes such as thinking that they already fly for United, Delta, etc.... Some people should be shot down. The captains who I have talked with all seem happy with the people that we have been hiring. All of the new hires seem to be doing a great job and have good attitudes. The problem is that we seem to be kicking others cut from the same cloth to the curb. We will never see the data, but I would love to see the actual percentages of rejections, both from the programs and off the street, along with the reasons for rejection.
