Me too.
But your usual go to line is "well I fly with CA's that do the interviews and all the pilots that get turned down get turned for a reason blah blah blah...".
Which, of course, is true, IN SOME CASES.
But pilots have also been shot down for reasons you're only starting to acknowledge recently.
Fair points. All of the airlines have hired some real nut jobs before these programs existed, and now also through the programs. True also about the stories that we hear from interview pilots. We hear about the scary ones who were weeded out, we don’t hear about the highly qualified guy who did all of the prep, checked all of the boxes, and still get rejected. It’s those pilots that I have sympathy for. Those who don’t get the degree, don’t prepare, or who have poor training or service records........not so much.
