Spelling 101
FYI, I talked to a friend recently who had spent the better part of his day sorting resumes and lining up future interviews. He shared with me that he had passed on "several" application packages due to basic spelling errors and the way the package was presented. His rationale was that anyone submitting something as important as an airline resume ought to take the time to proof read his/her submissions. On a personal note, I see many posts here that have horrible spelling and grammar. I am far from a perfect speller and don't mean to imply otherwise. I just found it amazing that something as basic as spelling and appearance could make the difference in a job. I would suggest that we all be a little more aware of how we represent ourselves in written form. Apparently, it is important to some! It would suck to lose a job with your "preffered carrier" because of something so silly! Just food for thought.....
