I have a couple buddies that were Faips with me at CBM that went to fighters and are now going back to AETC (The AF lied to all of us FAIPs) Neither of them 7 day opted. Only time will tell who made a good decision. True - a 38 gig isn't a bad deal but FAIPs should not have to go back to AETC as a Capt. The reason F-15 guys are having to do this is so that 1st assigment guys can go to the raptor. Those guys would normally get sent to AETC but the 22 doesn't want dudes my age. I am more worried about what happens after the PIT assignment. School then 4 year staff job? Now I am almost at 20 and completely non current. Been out of the Eagle for 8 years. Now what do I do? More AETC if I am lucky.
