I don’t care what we anyone thinks we’re entitled to. I care what we can negotiate.
But apparently management has ****ed away all of 2019 with a BS opener they don’t even want us to know about and got to the grand sum total of $28 mill in improvements before walking away from the table.
I’ve been here almost 20 years. Some of the best and worst years of my career. After last summer, I was pretty confident that management would want us all pulling in the same direction by next summer, and would want to have our contract completed by then. I’ve read the flight ops memos last fall. All that lip service about not wanting to do it again and hiring 1350 more pilots by next summer. Today the email said we have over 200 less pilots than we did last summer.
How does Delta Flight Ops management expect us to complete the 4% YOY capacity increase next summer with barely the same amount of Pilots we had then? I gave all I’m willing to give last summer, and I only worked one 3 day GS, on reserve. I don’t know what they’re thinking. Maybe they’re looking at advanced bookings and know something we don’t, but if they did, they probably would be talking about an accelerated parking of the MD88 fleet. I’m really confused.
