The 350 could do all of the LAX 777 trips except Sydney. Shanghai would force a decision between PAX and cargo depending on the winds and weather. The A350-1000 has a little more range (250 ish NM) and may not have as much trouble on PVG. LAX-SYD would require the 900ULR.

Repeat after me, "The A-350-1000 IS NOT a replacement for the 777LR". "The A-350-1000 IS NOT a replacement for the 777LR", "The A-350-1000 IS NOT a replacement for the 777LR". It is a 777-300ER replacement.

777-200ER = 350-900
777-200LR = 350-900ULR
777-300ER = 350-1000

Think of the 777-200LR is a normal 777 with huge -300ER motors. It's like she went to the mechanic and got engines that are one size too large. The LR also includes larger fuel tanks.

Despite all of the wet dreams pilots have about flying a Delta A350 to SYD, it will not happen with the current order book. In theory, with perfect winds, Canberra as an alternate and a light cargo load, the 350-1000 could make it.
