it’s low comparatively speaking, especially when you look at other 175 drivers BUT everybody I’ve ran into online and in person says that the premium pay makes the deal pretty sweet. So what’s a good baseline for the first two years of pay as an FO? How often/consistent are the opportunities to get that open time pay? Gotta anticipate the first few of many student loan payments 😅
I am on the CRJ side but the ERJ side will be a good place to go if you are willing to be based in IAD. Its a fancy shiny new jet. The pay is lack luster and you'll have to wait till summer to really get a ton of premium pay. We were paying 300% this summer which was pretty nice but don't go to a company just because they have a nice premium pay seasonally. I like Mesa for what it is, a stepping stone. You will not sit reserve long on the CRJ side however that cannot be said for the ERJ side at the moment. This may change with the new E jets order beginning to arrive. If you think you can handle a fast upgrade then Mesa is the place, if you want to sit FO reserve but with better pay doing the same job then by all means theres lots of other options out there.
