Whether their (management) position is known by us or not, what IS known is that while Delta is making money hand over fist, they choose not to compensate us for our efforts, so some pilots might choose not to make too much effort this summer in helping to keep the train on the tracks. I just have no idea how they think they are going to keep the domestic operation running normally without us being 100% onboard. (I am trying to be careful with my wording) I actually expected the Company to at least try to get close to a contract by summer. This move was unexpected.
In other words, being insulted by a low offer is only slightly less harmful than being insulted that they gave up and want the NMB to step in. By not having any idea what our ask is, we don’t know if our side is being unreasonable or their side.
