We were paying 300% this summer which was pretty nice but don't go to a company just because they have a nice premium pay seasonally. I like Mesa for what it is, a stepping stone. You will not sit reserve long on the CRJ side however that cannot be said for the ERJ side at the moment. This may change with the new E jets order beginning to arrive. If you think you can handle a fast upgrade then Mesa is the place, if you want to sit FO reserve but with better pay doing the same job then by all means theres lots of other options out there.
Wouldn't you know it, living in IAD is already what I want to/will do, and moving on is certainly the goal. I know RAH has the same jet, higher pay and a DCA base but it's IAD that I'm really after to make my plan work and Mesa had it as a new hire base for a while before the new jets were announced. So if it's between a 145 at C5, years of climbing seniority at AW, or whatever stipulations at Mesa it takes to make it to Dulles and get the Ejet I wouldn't mind tolerating it. Any regional is just a stepping stone to something bigger in my mind
