Yeah you are confusing civilian vs Military helicopter pilots. Military helicopter pilots are trained in CRM from day one as there are no single pilot aircraft in the military inventory. Mil pilots that would be coming here have well over 1500 hours of dual pilot cockpits, using CRM, all with flying in combat situations. The vast majority rotor pilots that apply to Frontier are coming from the military. Helicopter time is not yet looked upon as equal for Legacy airlines. This means most military helicopter pilots use an RTP program to go through the regionals and then up into the ULCC models because they count rotor time as actual flying time.
So as funny as it sounds, yes, chances are you are going to be getting special ops dudes who have decided to get out of the military but can’t go to a Legacy airline because they don’t see that time as equal.
