That was also the case with BOS right up until United ended there out of CLE as well. BOS was picked up by Delta and JetBlue added flights after United gave it up. If there’s not enough traffic to justify it’s existence how come Delta, American, and JetBlue are doing the routes United has abandoned?
UA is reducing its presence in CLE. The CLE domicile (UA) is shrinking via attrition.
I agree the BOS/LGA/DCA flights were full when I flew them too. Unfortunately, we are pilots and not network planners. Plus Xjet(all regionals) are subcontractors and go where their mainline partner tells them.
