Nobody at the FAA would ever attempt to change anything for fear of making waves.
Examples?
Every NW36th street operator has a POI
Every scumbag 135 has a POI
Boeing has FAA oversight....
It's a valid point but when Atlas crashes a passenger jet or there are more casualties than just the crew I personally believe that the general public is going to finally have some questions. While I certainly don't hope to see that I fear it's simply a matter of time. You can't have the hiring practices that Atlas has gotten away with and not have crashes. All of these problem children will now be upgrading with new problem children in the right seat... Some will meet the standard even if it's enforced.

I think one or two crashes down the road is when the FAA starts getting called out for not shutting this down.
