Spirit and Frontier are great places to be right now. The reason I posted is I had an envoy jump seater (young kid) that told us an envoy ca said AA was about to furlough. I just wanted to get some facts out. I have received a few messages from guys that really do want the facts. If a LCC is right for you...make the jump. AA does need to get its finances in order. There are reasons for our debt. We have a brand new fleet, debt is cheap and Parker thinks it’s a good time to rack up the debt where UAL/DL (who will he renewing their older fleets) might have to do it when the rates become more costly. Is it the right decision? Who knows. People love to bash AA right now. UAL was the punching bag before that and Delta was the laughing stock before them. When I was flying RJ’s SWA was the place to be and impossible to get hired. Check out the swa section on here. Guys are bailing. I think AA is a tremendous career. I’m able to hold a line on a 787/777 after being here about 6 years(and trending down). I personally thing that’s a great deal. I also think a lot of you (albeit all the *****ing) will end up here and have great careers.
Tides change. Times are good. Get the facts, make the right decision for you and your family.
