All of this Amazon talk - yet they still don’t actually operate a single aircraft. Despite the efficiency gained from having all the data, ultimately they hand everything off to a contractor. As they expand into DHL and Alibaba territory these contractors may have competing interest...and in the regulation heavy environment of Europe I don’t think they are in for a smooth ride. Ultimately if Amazon plans to keep growing and expanding, they will always be dependent on third party shipping to some degree.

Theye don't need to operate a single aircraft, just own a large share in a company and have tremendous pull with management about how they operate.
