So, less trips in the OT Pot means less aggressive bidding for reserves.
I think the 4% holdback is a small perk for having something to swap with in the OT Pot. But more importantly it allows PBS to have up to 4% of trips leftover when it creates its solution, minimizing the need to unstack and assign leftover trips.
It shouldn’t be up to, it should be 4%. Also sick, training (oe historic holdback), non split drops, non split Tradeboard, and 117 drops all retain the rig. I normally drop (not split) flying immediately when daily opens and plan on continuing to do so in pbs. For max days off. I’m not the only pilot doing this. Not saying your wrong I’m saying I think they’ll be more decent opentime than you think. We’ll see when the Loa is done.
