AA is not giving away the farm to alliance partners. RDU-LHR could’ve gone to BA a long time ago. So could the PHX-LHR, and BOS-LHR, wide body routes without an AA widebody base. AA handed ORD-Tokyo to JAL, that’s been a money pit for years and AA still profits on the metal-neutral JV with JAL. And if AA needs to drop a money losing Tokyo route to a partner to add flights to new destinations, I’m all about it.
Vasu for CEO.
Is Vasu going to agree to new contracts with pilots, FAs, and mechanics in a timely manner? Is he going to remove a couple rows of seats from every airplane so that pax aren't stuffed in like sardines? Is he going to bring regional flying back to mainline or keep outsourcing it? Is he going to stop the practice of overselling discounted seats? Will he hold departures for passengers making late connections? Probably no on all counts, and AA will continue to get ranked behind Spirit.
