I am 50 yrs old and a high time (10,500hrs or so) Transport Category Helicopter guy with about 4000hrs Fixed Wing total time and about 1900 hrs of so of Multi Engine Fixed Wing time with an ATP. Recently completed a job flying a Type Rated DHC-6-300 (14K Gross Weight) where I got about 850hrs or so PIC TurboProp time. Passenger service with Heavy IFR time. Should I take a shot at the 121 world, knowing I can only really get 15 yrs in before Mandatory Retirement? If so, will I just get passed over for the transition to a Major due to my age??
