FOM/OP Specs here at Spirit says SLOP is optional up to 2nm right of the airway. Not required. WATRS routes aren’t exactly busy like some of the other areas talked about on here.

The captain someone talked about who deleted the SLOP should have read the FOM where it says in bold that you don’t need permission to use it.
