The question you asked WaterRooster was, how do you justify things not going well for an applicant if they have to use a FAR to explain why they logged something the way they did. That’s what I answered.

I think the only person that can answer the question as to what number to fill in a box is the applicant. I haven’t seen the app, but if it asks only “Total PIC” I would mark down every hour I’ve logged as PIC. Some may be solo, some may be as a CFI. some may be as a 121 or 135 Captain, some may be 91 corporate. The point I’m making is the interviewer will be able to discern whether or not the applicant’s PIC is of the quality they are looking for.
