For now United is trying to see if premium class customer in the north east will accept that product on a regional jet.

The 145 is also a very profitable airframe for United and run 90% full most of the time. Right now XJT has about 65 of them on the line and UA has said they want to 30 more in service for westward expansion.

A few months ago Boeing directed Embraer to develop a new 50 seat RJ. When that comes out it will probably replace the 145.

The 550 is no longer an experiment, it’s working. So Boeing is telling Embraer to develop a new 50 seater? How do you know XJET is gonna get an airplane that isn’t even developed yet? Where do you guys come up with this stuff??
