If you believe the displacements won’t be back then the company has succeeded. The company needs the captains. If they can have a few vacancies that are small, people are going to believe they have to preference and the more preferences, the less seat lock money the company pays for displacements. Probably not the next bid as they are already too late to get captains for the summer rush but they will need to have some big vacancies to get the number of captains they need.
They might be back, but not en masse as they did in the past. There's a bunch of 2017 and 2018 hires coming up on their hours that are wanting to upgrade.
Also, displacing to 175 will be a thing in the past. Unless they suddenly need to crew let's say 20 additional planes.
