My first mtg was with USAA. USAA wanted to know why I was buying a house in one state and based in another. I even had to provide a copy of my CBA stating I could use non-rev travel to commute to work along with FARs stating I could use the cockpit jumpseat. I also had to have a letter from my base manager elaborating on pilot commuting. It was a real headache.
The mtg was sold about 2 months after closing. Disclaimer, it was an FHA loan.
My next house we used a different lender.
