As I would guess that you're still at least 10-12 months from being ready to start, I would recommend just browsing these forums and keeping a finger to the pulse of any regionals that might interest you. Most will give CJOs up to six months out, some have cadet programs, etc. On one hand, we really need more information (primarily a more specific location) to give you solid recommendations. On the other, you're far enough out that whatever recommendations you get now likely won't be as valid when it's time for you to apply, interview, and make your decision. It's always good to do your research, but unless there's a very obvious choice (only one regional with a base in your city), you'd be doing yourself a disservice by making the decision this far in advance when so much can change in a year.
