I agree with you. There is less fleet commonality between NWA and DAL. Also, DAL is trying to reduce RJ flying, and if they bought/merged with NWA, they would be aquiring more RJ's(this as they're exploring selling COMAIR). They also have to deal with Midwest, right? It seems like there is a heck of a lot more baggage with NWA then with UAL. I also think UAL would go for cheaper then what NWA would ask for. So much to speculate.
