Why should any captains risk their the health of themselves and their crew and risk bringing this home to their families by authorizing Jumpseats if one has been in mainland China?
it’s just plain wrong that they pay more to put us in unsafe conditions. And if we don’t go, our sick banks or vacation banks get hit if we want a paycheck.
Unfortunately, guys will go for a few extra bucks.

Bad information out there. Yes, FX is paying an extra 3CH if you transit China, or 4.5 for each layover. However, many have been dropped this week from 40-70 CH trips because they go to countries which have banned prior travel to China. In the past...we'd have trip guarantee--ala Substitution. Now? You get dick. MU bank. Or you can burn your SCK bank, then VAC bank. (But no DSA for those nearing retirement). So we lost our asses on this China LOA. Bad deal. Worse if you have some Barney Fife Captain stranding folks from going home.
