If N.Y. Doesn’t want to play by the rules and share information like every other state does then it has to except the consequences of their actions.

The point about Romney is to show that impeachments, despite being part of the constitution’s checks and balances, are a political exercise. So even though the two prior impeachment trials never had ONE senator vote to remove a president of his own party, (Romney was the first), checks an balances in the constitution have never been questioned. In other words, the poster’s remarks I was responding to, have no merit in history.
Nothing stops the House from continually impeaching the President for every act, real or perceived, they believe is an impeachable offense. It’ll still be a political exercise, just like everything done by congress or the president. Just because it’s political, doesn’t mean checks and balances are gone. The ultimate check and balance is we the people’s vote every two years.
