I don't think the OP was looking quite that far out. He just wanted to know how long until he could get to ORD, and today it seems reasonably quick. Tomorrow maybe not.
Some modest relief starts next year. (hopefully)

They are already underway on adding to Terminal 5. That is supposed to be done next year. When finished (we'll see about next year???) some Terminal 2 folks are moving to Terminal 5 (Delta, and not sure who else) and those Terminal 2 gates come to UA. Getting those extra gates should help allow some expansion for us at ORD. What that will be, I have no idea, but at least there is some potential good news there.

After that, the new Island (Councourse D??) construction starts out to the West of Concourse C. Then the extension of Concourse C itself (to the South). Once those are done, then the redo of Terminal 2 starts that will make the new International terminal for UA and AA allowing our passengers the ability to clear customs in that new facility and then walk to our respective departure gates.

All of that construction is supposed to be done by 2028. If you are a gambler, I would suggest taking the "over" on that bet!!!
