I'm trying to non-rev to CPT on the 19th. Even though I have 33 years with the company I'm probably not going to get on, so my backup is SAA from JFK the next day. Loads are heavy except towards the end of this season. I hope they increase the frequency and go to year round.

Jumpseat is not a viable way to get there. Crew of four pilots so all seats are taken, and the use of crew rest area is reserved for company pilots (if memory serves), plus you can't jumpseat international inbound to the US anyway.

I'd watch the loads if I were you, and SAA treats non revs very well. They're operating A350's on that route now instead of the tired old 340's they'd been using.
