This isn't 2002-2011 anymore when regional guys are making 15-20k a year. An entry-level regional pilot is making 55-60k a year, which is more than the average US income of 48k a year. The vast vast vast majority of the public thinks we are extremely overpaid, severely underworked, and whiny about only getting 15-16 days off a month. Being a cheap mofo only enforces this stereotype, which is unfair, but gets perpetuated by guys such as yourself. Open up your wallet.
No you’re joking right? Do you go to the first class cabin in your airplane and expect tips from them because you presume they make more money then you? And the stereotype that pilots are rich will get pushed more when guys like you are throwing them tips for doing their job.
