Answer: Yes, however at a reduced amount. Our current growth plan still requires more pilots then the pilots who would have retired. In other words we are still growing, not just replacing retiring pilots. Keep in mind in this business with oil over $100 and the economy suffering there could always be changes in our level of operations, but for now, here is our TENTATIVE hiring plan for 2008

Jan: 40 per month
Feb- Apr 16 per month
May - Oct: 4 - 8 per month
Nov: 32 per month
Dec 40 per month



The above is from the CAL EWR chief pilot's office. It is the most current info. 208 pilots this year.
That's what I was told but I didn't know who all knew and didn't want to oust my friend for it. To ease some of the assumptions some are making, any word on how much is age 65? I'm betting very little but there are those that just can't get over it.
