In our society you will be judged differently if you choose to tip or if you choose not to tip.

Arguing about why that should or shouldn’t be the case is silly. It’s a societal norm bigger than our professions or experiences.

Decide how you want to be perceived and accept it for what it is.

But it sure seems like trying to fight those perceptions with arguments and rationalizations more often than not proves the perceptions someone is trying to dispel.
