Something else to ponder, how many millions did United spend to ramp up ExpressJets E-175 operations then to shut it down in a year. What a waste of money.

United didn’t lose money here. They secured the aircraft and signed a deal with ExpressJet to fly them. Airplanes still flying and will continue to generate revenue during the transition to SkyWest. I agree with all the sentiments regarding non union Skywest being the beneficiary as being a gut punch. Would much rather see ExpressJet continue to grow this fleet to a point in which it is economically feasible to operate two fleets. Would like to see United rid itself of SkyWest one day.
