What I think is missing from this thread is what is going to happen once those 175s are at Skywest: 25 more CRJ-700s to GoJet (or whomever) to become CRJ-550s. I imagine an announcement will come in a few months when they are ready to start conversions.

That will bring the total CRJ-550 fleet up to 99. I'd mentioned late last year on the Fleet Discussion thread that there were potentially 100-130 CRJ-700s out there that we could get our hands on. Skywest alone had nearly 100 of those -700s that I'd counted. Now management has found a way to start getting at some of them. Because the 700s are newer frames than CRJ-200s, the death of the 50 seater is still some ways off.
