The few years I went to WIA it was 97% dudes.

OBAP was 97% white dudes.

Never been to NGPA, but I think you can figure out where this is going...

What is the point and benefit of these groups when a MASSIVE amount of attendees are not the demographic of said organization and They are simply there to attend one day and that’s it? Most leave and don't contribute until the next year, when they are again forced to join the organization in order to purchase a ticket. There had to be a better way.

Im glad they are doing things in house and inviting the folks they are, basically, wanting to interview ahead of time. And your also inviting the folks you know want to be there. They aren’t at your event also talking to the competition.

Spending $200+ multiple times a year for years on end just to be told “Keep doing what your doing” and seeing no results isn’t the best way.

Again, it’s great they are supporting the things you listed above, but they can also support them without participating, directly, with these job fairs at the same time.
The career fair is the largest fundraising activity for these groups, but by no means the only. If you participate throughout the year, you'll see a good mixture of folks from all backgrounds running the camps and doing the school visits (which, ALPA is now doing as well). Those programs are really what these organizations are about, not "getting me a job." I think they try to do a good job of making that clear at the career fairs. But a major airline supporting WIA/OBAP/NGPA at their main fundraiser of the year is good business and good publicity.
